I honestly wish I were as obsessed with these dice as I am with others from this site, but I can’t say they’re my favorite.
Craftsmanship: The numbers are clear and legible with gold print for the numbers. The edges are sharp and these dice feel light enough to roll and not break on a solid surface. (Though since they’re far more expensive than cheep dice, it’s likely still recommended to roll on a soft surface just to confirm they’ll remain in good condition.)
I wish they offered more variety (like plant vine would have been my choice) but it wasn’t available on the site.
I have to agree with the other reviews, that they're *significantly* darker than the images on the site. Most of the dice I received came in and look primarily black with faint hints of dark red. Only 2 have that red-orange gloss that I find absolutely stunning. (And why I wanted to buy them!) I took these photos in different lighting conditions with outdoor light & natural yellow light above them for reference.
However, as also mentioned on the site, this is a natural product, and color does vary. I just didn’t realize Padauk could look BLACK. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So buyer beware if you’re hoping for all reddish-orange or even an oxidized purple tone. It’s not 100% a guarantee for the orangey-red that the commercial photos use.
These dice are absolutely beautiful! They feel so luxurious but also give jungle explorer vibes! Now if only there was a faux ivory set to go along with this one!
Urwizards are the best. I have 8 sets of dice from them currently (I'm not a goblin) and an oversized D20. (I'm not a dice Goblin)
Great customer service, great delivery times. They get it right. Bought wooden dice for my latest warforged character. My table loves it.
They are great quality and feel good in the hand. They aren't as heavy as I thought they might be. To me, they feel about the same weight as resin dice.
My only complaint is that they're a bit darker than the images on the site. However, this is a natural product, and color does vary.
Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, and would consider purchasing again!
